§ 102-5. Temporary emergency housing.

  • (a)

    For the purposes of this section the provisions of sections 102-140(1)(d) and 120-164(1)(d) prohibiting the use of campers, trailers, or recreational vehicles, as defined in this article, as dwellings are not applicable due to the emergency housing shortage.

    (b)

    Temporary structures such as travel trailers and recreational vehicles which are licensed by and registered with the State of New Mexico, may be used as temporary dwellings, provided that;

    (1)

    A city permit is obtained,

    (2)

    No more than three campers, trailers, or recreational vehicles are placed on any lot.

    (3)

    All other applicable state and local laws and regulations are complied with.

    (c)

    Connection of water and/or sewer at a site currently having water and/or sewer will not require payment of any additional fees.

    (d)

    Water and/or sewer connection to previously unserved sites will require payment of applicable connection fees.

    (e)

    All other applicable zoning regulations shall still apply.
